Dorm Counselors

Eric Hoffman

Dorm Counselor/Swing Lead

Eric was born in Concord, CA. His family moved to the Ogden Valley in 1985 on a tip from some family friends about this beautiful valley hidden in Northern Utah. Once they arrived and saw the beautiful lake and outdoor attractions, the Hoffman's knew this would be their permanent home. Eric learned how to snowboard at Powder Mountain, a local resort that claims the most acres available for skiing in North America. Fishing, camping, and hunting also consume most of Eric's free time. In 2012, Eric married a local named Ashley who was also raised in the valley and shared much of the same interests as him. They now live in their beloved valley where they spend the summers riding horses and winters hitting the slopes. Once Eric received the opportunity to be a counselor at the academy and realized how much he enjoyed working with youths, he knew this would be a great career for him. Eric is thrilled that he can share the same great experiences he had growing up here with the wonderful students of the WayPoint Academy.
